Jefferson Auto was recommended to me by a local body shop for a repair on my Yukon. Juan really spent the time to explain to me what the problem was and what they had to do to repair it. They got the job done in a day and left me extremely satisfied with the repair. I highly recommend these guys for any auto repair, great service/value!

I brought my 2014 Mercedes Sprinter (105K miles) in because there was a "start idle" message on the dash, the truck completely lost power and I could not accelerate above 5 mph. I was told the fuel filter & air filter needed to be replaced right away in order to get the van back to running condition and other repairs could be fixed little by little. I brought the van in Thursday (9/21) and the very next day (9/22) the same problem happens to me while in Jersey City picking up goods from a customer, as I am in the courier business. I call Jefferson Auto to request a tow for the exact same problem I just paid $350+ to fix the day before. The vehicle is then towed back to Jefferson Auto and undergoes more diagnostics until Juan (owner) calls today (9/25) and tells me he cannot fix the problem because he doesn't have the ability to reset the diesel exhaust system and only the dealership can do this job, which I feel he knew from the beginning. I was then told it would be $300+ for the tow from Jersey City to West Orange and then West Orange to Union (Ray Catena), which I feel is wrong especially when I just paid 350+ the day before and not to mention missing 3+ days of work without my van aka my lifeline. I feel ripped off and would not recommend this mechanic to anyone.
